Hi there looking for help with a TTI 880 radio that i have recently purchased. The radio receives great except for broken inner speaker meaning i have to use an external one but when i key the mic to transmit the radio will either jump down a channel and lock on to it or start scanning the channels downwards and none of the buttons seem to work either. Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks

Either the mic has the wrong wiring configuration, or it is faulty.

Hi Andy
I was told that i may be a mic issue but i have brought a new mic and the same things still happen and the mic i brought was the same brand as the radio. I can see that someone has fiddled with the original mic but I wouldn’t have thought the second one would do the same if it was a mic problem.
Thanks for the help.

Just because it is the same brand, doesn't mean that it is necessarily the correct wiring configuration.

It may be worth checking with whoever you purchased it from, to make sure it is definitely compatible with a TTi 881.

This is the configuration.. https://www.thunderpole.co.uk/microphon ... g-tti.html

Ok thanks. I will check with the person but i think will either buy a new microphone that I know is wired correctly or look at getting a new radio and selling this one on for parts
