i just got midland 121. is it right you can scan modile phone withe them and how?

To listen in to mobiles youre going to need to find someone who is still using an old analogue mobile, which means they still need to be using a phone thats over 8 years old.

GSM phones are all digitally encrypted, so you will still be able to listen, it just wont make any sense.

You can buy kit that will decode mobiles and scan for them, you just need to be a part of a government department that has reason to listen in to mobiles, oh and you'll need a licence thats also issued by the government just to operate the thing. Even owning such equipment will get you a jail sentence.
