two ariel set up

ive been told some trucks use a twin ariel set up how do you do this and what is the advanage of this set up ?

none att all in england as we have no stright roads the twins focus you signal in a figure 8 so itin stronger at the front and rear of the car ie following your headlight pattern and as we have no roads strighter than 440 yards you signal will be all over the place plus on a car you can not get the spacing between the antenna they must be over 1/4 wave length apart

just been reading that infact twins mounted on a car can be benificial. provided they are mounted on the roof as far apart as possible they would work well.
