Okay, just wondering if anyone can help me.. When pressing the PTT button on my intek the digital bar metre keys up but then dissapears down to nothing straight away. At the same time the battery level indicator goes from full down to nothing aswell.. On releasing the PTT button all resumes as normal.. What is even more bizzare is that sometimes this does not happen and i have no idea why?? It is not the fault of the batteries as i have tried different ones, all new with full charge and this makes no difference. Be great if someone could help me on this..

Maybe its the setting on the inside of the battery cover? AL for Alkaline and NI for Nicads? Other than that, a short there somewhere.

Have the radio here, but cannot replicate anything like this at the moment, sorry
