Wheres the best place to locate a swr meter when swr,ing, the reason being, when i go to swr my dv-27 with groundplane kit in the loft i put the meter on top of the rig but if i move it off the rig the reading moves higher,do i need to locate the meter at a said distance away from the rig.

if you can you should put the swr meter at the antenner not the radio .....and which goes without saying never keep it in line once you have the correct swr.
