Well it’s pouring down today, so what’s better than to sit down, do a bit of surfing whilst listening to the radio

my a99 at home has a high swr still, the rings need putting up,

and the antron i use for static mobile operation the rings are at the top as i get the best swr there

i recon they will put it up for about 130-150 quid,

could probably raise about 125 ish on ebay but im away on a course so not near the rig so cant post it. maybe when i get back.

i doubt they will pay post.

well its boxed up at the mo in my room so its not going anywhere lol

still aint sold it lol, keep meaning to put it on the bay, the company i got it from said they would give me 100 quid for it though

well it works, just got through all the noise on rig power to 30 division on it, so im happy its working again,

im lucky in hereford as the manager of mapins has his own pc repair company so he is rubbish hot with thats kind of stuff, and there is a guy who is retierd from his full time job but wants a bit of work to keep him busy and it just so happens he is a ham operator (and one who still uses cb lol)

so ...

if the lincolin lets me down i may well cry lol

its working again, on tm forum for a week before i put it on ebay, no interest yet though.

got it back with no paperwork so dont know what the fault was, all i know is it was a free repair so was not the finals,

the company i sent it to sent it on to another place for ...

i have re plugged a few headsets in my time, mainly to use with the army issue personnal role radio, they have a bizare round 5 pin connector about the same size as the end of a pen, got one working though on a throad mic now and its better than the issue headset so good ...

was supposed to be back with the company on wednesday/thursday but i have not heard from them since monday,

they did not think it was finals though, i have been busy with work so not chased it up this week, should get it next week though

to be honest andy i have not been on the radio much so not used it as yet, but as soon as i do i will let you know how it goes.

i might get on this weekend gary, saturday im down in oxford possibly picking up a icom (commercial not amature) but might try getting up on sunday, west flex an all

i phoned them today, they said it should be back with them from repair in the next few days, so im guessing it was not the finals as they would have called me to tell me it is not covered by warrenty and that i will have to.

if its not covered by the warrenty they normally ...
