the main unit is mounted under the glove box as my feed from the battery is there, then i have two permanent patch leads running into the back of the glove box where the swr meter sits. i have used velcro on the swr meter and filter box on the power lead of the radio so i can take them in and out with ease and they dont slide around, i have a yaesu extension speaker mounted in the drivers side foot well.
the head unit is up on the dash in front of the mpg/time screen

NOT MY CAR JUST A GENERIC PIC OFF THE NET
if you look above the screen in the center you will see a screen that says brakelight check...........that is where my head unit is mounted, there is just enough room down the side so i can still see what the display says on the car as the sticky thing that hold the headunit is stuck to the bottom of the overhang on the dash.
Image

i will post pictures when i get my camera, should be in a week or so

it does look pretty neat now, plus i have routed all cables so they are hidden

i use a yaesu mls-200 ex speaker, it works a treat, super loud and very good quality.

yer go for the imax until skip starts coming in, then you know its time to get the directional pigeon cooker going lol

No pics yet going to try to get it up a bit more first.one thing i dont like about the imax is its 24ft long and a bit of wind and its all over the place,if i get some time going to spend it on 555 on monday morning,if its no good at least its elements are long enough for sun flowers.and stick the 4 element beam up.

I can see me going to use the beam more now, just a bit sick was going to import a maco 6 element beam from usa but now with the pound so low its going to cost to much so thats on a back burner for now.but i will still give the imax a try.
