personally i would try the boomerang out easy to set up & can be mounted on to a balcony or on to a pole like the same way you would with a bigger antenna & easy enough to fit in to a loft as it comes with a u-bolt http://www.thunderpole.co.uk/base-cb-an ... erang.html

& i agree the DV27 is a good antenna but will need a big enough tin to mount it on to help the SWR also the tip has a section where you are also able to SWR the DV27 in what ever you pick i hope it all works out for you buddy

Inverted V Dipole set at 90% is omidirectional

I agree that the DV27 is a good antenna, yet it need a big enough tin to mount right.

Youd be better using a wire antenna outside...or look up people putting wires in housend drain pipes...the saying is...its better to have an untuned antenna outside than it is to have a tuned antenna inside...that speaks volumes about how inside masks the signal...but please dont transmit on an untuned antenna...i did ok as a kid with a dv 27 on a sheet of metal in my bedroom...then a dipole half in the bedroom and half in the loft...my stepdad put a hole in the ceiling of my bedroom in the corner putting the transmitting part in the loft
