is it skip?

Hi all. I have had something on every channel for at least 3 days. Whatever it is causes the needle on my cb to go at least half way up in bursts so it's impossible to hear anyone that's not on my doorstep! Is this skip?

I get it from time to time, it can be white noise within the atmosphere and you'll notice it change at different times of the day and night.
