Hi there Dickie,
I’m interested to hear how you got on? Did you resolve the issue? I’ve recently finished another camper install, and found the ONLY way to get the SWR down was to use a top-loaded antenna with the top-loaded section completely above the roofline, and 2/3 of the remainder above the ‘fibreglass line’. About 4 inches of the bottom of the whip is close to the steel-body, but unfortunately that was unavoidable.
Where to put the antenna

Sorry for the Very ! Late reply
The set up clamped to the rear bike rack worked very well with the antenna showing above the van.
Only problem now is
I sold the van 5 years ago
Now have a smaller all metal van conversion and just getting round to re fitting the rig
Hope after all this time there will still be someone to chat to ??

The Problem is Not "Leaves on the Line", its the " Passengers"
