Questions about first use

Hi, i bought the continental pack wired everything up mirror mouted the antenna, moved into a free space but i cant get hold of anybody on any channels. it is on just UK mode not ec and uk, do i need a swa meter or whatever or am i doing something wrong ? :/ thank you. jamie

Hi, It dosen't seem like your doing anything wrong but the cb radio hobby in the UK has gone fairly quiet over the years.
An SWR meter is a must if you ever upgrade the the antenna you already have or to just check if the antenna is in tune. If you cant get any radio contact you could always ask a friend or any willing driver for a radio check to make sure you are actually transmitting and receiving. I hope this maybe answers some of your questions, Best of luck with your new CB :D

Thank you very much :) ill get in touch with my mate tomorrow to test it out when we're out tractoring haha ! to see if it is working or not, thank you! Brilliant service from thunderpole. Very pleased with the service

Same mate ! ive asked two questions and ive had a reply just about instantly, thanks for the help i got it working, i went through the bands back to UK and thats sorted it thankfully :) i got signal 22 miles away with a 1.55m orbitor !!
