whistle from midland 48 plus

i have a midland 48 plus. when i scan the channels i pick up breakers clear as a bell. but we run on channel two and i get a whistle or high pitched noise back from other modile breaker. the cb shop could not find a fault. he thinks maybe wrong mic ? this is the mic it came with. any body got any idears?
